For something a little lighter...

I was one of those suckers who bought every TV Tunes album, tape and CD on the market. Now it's time to spread the joy. Let's see how old some of the members are and how well their memories work.

It'll stay up a week or until somebody guesses correctly. If there are no right answers in seven days, it'll be revealed and a new tune will be listed. As soon as the new one is guessed correctly or another seven days goes by, a new tune will be added. Score will be kept by forum account name. We might even have a small prize waiting at the end of the game, however long that is.

The tunes will be mixed, some old, some new and some in the middle, all genres including westerns, detectives, thrillers, playhouses, sci-fi, drama, soaps, cartoons, specials, news shows, etc.

The current tune is 5-30-2010.mp3

"I smell blood and an era of prominent madmen." W.H. Auden

person out via Facebook and Twitter, you can be prosecuted for bullying
the individual."

My bad, I wasn't paying attention and fell asleep at the wheel. It was pointed out to me that I had left the embedded details data on the file and some people knew enough to read the data, so the first one was a dry run.

The answer to the first one was "The Felony Squad". Follow the title links (after the name is revealed) to the Wiki page that explains each show.

Some folks have PM'ed me that one tune is not enough to give everybody a fair chance, so how about five at a time? They'll stay unnamed until somebody guesses them correctly. When somebody gets one or more right, their name will be listed by the answer and more tunes will be added to the list as ones are guessed. Same thing, a prize of some sort at the end (however long that takes, I have probably close to 2,000 tunes). :cigar: If there are any technical problems with the fiules, please let me know.

Current list;

file 0001 = "The Felony Squad" = a dry run, no winner

Either I didn't watch as much TV growing up as previously thought, or those are a collection of some obscure 1-season only pilots!

Nope. Some are very recent, at least not as old as what TS and I would have watched and some are even Tony award winners. Come on, surely somebody should recognize at least one of the more recent additions. None that I know of so far are one season wonders.

My bad. I went back and checked and I was wrong. Two shows were for one season each, but one of those was considered a ground breaking idea and is very well known even to this day.

Well, okay. Since the suggestions aren't exactly rolling in I'll be the first to ask for a clue: Is #12 a Western show? If not, it doesn't seem to appear on the 4 albums worth of Western theme collections I've listened to on Amazon! ^@

#4? Are you sure? I don't know if #4's show was ever shot on a boat, but it's not TLB. Come on folks, these aren't just oldies here.

I think I'm on a roll.

Is #8 the theme from Kojak?

Is #12 the theme from Wagon Train?
